The mission of La Luz Centro Cultural is to promote cultural awareness and diversity with hospitality and supportive services for all.
La Luz CC, a non-profit organization situated in downtown Hampton, Iowa, is a space where Latinos can share and build their strengths, where social isolation is not a barrier, and where hope and a sense of possibility are fostered.
We envision providing a combination of educational services and programs that emphasize dialogue as a way of learning and solving problems, recognizing that all have something to bring to the conversation regardless of age, race, gender, or level of education.
We strive to empower the Latino people with gifts of self-confidence, leadership, and solidarity.
La Luz was initiated by the Sisters of the Presentation in Dubuque, Iowa and was transferred to the community to serve as a cultural center.
