La Luz is providing comprehensive services to survivors of Latinx Victim of a Crime. SOMOS Latinx project will provide culturally-specific services to immigrant and refugee individuals who are victims of crime and for the Latinx population in Franklin County, Wright County, and surrounding areas. We will provide linguistically and culturally accessible, family-centered, integrated services for refugees and immigrants who have been victims of a crime.
The program will begin by increasing awareness and identification of survivors to increase access to services. The identification will improve outcomes for survivors by promoting effective, culturally appropriate, trauma-informed services that improve the short-and long-term health, safety and well-being of survivors.
La Luz will provide services based on a holistic approach to healing from trauma.
